Il y a quelques mois de cela, j'avais parlé de clés USB assez spéciales, puisqu'elles ressemblent beaucoup à des... clés.

J'ai craqué pour ce modèle et j'ai commandé la version 8 Go
Le constructeur a annoncé des débits de 30Mo/s en lecture et 10 Mo/s en écriture. On va voir ce que ça donne dans la pratique.
NB : C'est mon premier test, je sais très bien que je n'ai pas l'âme d'un vrai journaliste ou je ne sais quoi, alors si vous avez un soucis avec mes propos n'hésitez pas à me le dire

Au niveau des dimensions, elle est impeccable : de la taille d'une clé classique, et aussi de la même épaisseur. Elle rentre très bien dans le porte-clés comme sur la photo de la pub ^^
Elle est livrée avec un petit capuchon en plastique pour protéger les connecteurs mais je l'ai perdu... Aucun soucis depuis des semaines, elle est solide (mais pas indestructible), elle brille, mais elle est très salissante et se raye facilement. Inutile de vous dire qu'au bout de quelques jours, elle se mariera parfaitement à votre trousseau de vieilles clés toutes rayées, ce qui était le but recherché tout de même. Voyons les performances maintenant...
Pour copier un DivX sur la clé, il m'a fallu 1min35s, ce qui est correct mais certains modèles font deux fois mieux. Pour le transférer de la clé au PC, seulement 25 secondes, un excellent score, comme la plupart des clés USB récentes sur le marché.
Maintenant j'ai copié un tas de petits fichiers, de 1 à 8Ko. C'est une taille minuscule, même les documents texte font en général quelques dizaines de Ko. En revanche, lorsque vous copiez un jeu ou des dossiers assez spécifiques, il se peut qu'il y ait des fichiers de petite taille. Et la copie des fichiers se fait très lentement... 35 secondes pour copier moins de 2 Mo. C'est normal, toutes les clés font ça, mais je voulais vous montrer à quel point les transferts de fichiers peuvent devenir lents.

Nous avons donc environ 32Mo/s en lecture et 10 Mo/s en écriture, comme l'a annoncé le constructeur, c'est parfait. Que conclure donc ? Eh bien, les performances d'abord : en lecture, la clé est excellente, on ne fait pas mieux sur USB 2.0; en écriture par contre, le débit est moyen, on a fait mieux : des modèles comme la Corsair Flash Voyager GT, ou encore la OCZ Rallye 2 Turbo (quels jolis noms) dépassent dans les 20Mo/s, soit plus du double de notre petite clé quand même. Maintenant, à vous de voir si vous préférez les performances pures ou le design.
Je vous file un deuxième test de la version 4 Go qui n'est pas de moi, mais qui est intéressant pour ses belles photos. jetez un coup oeil !
